Commission is determined via these steps: 1) Country of origin (US 50 or CA Point of Origin (POO) or International Point of Origin (IPOO)) 2) Outbound (O/B) Origin/Destination (O & D) 3) Inbound (I/B) Origin/Destination (O & D)
Example: ORD-MEX-IAH in C Class 1) POO = US 2) O/B origin = ORD, O/B destination = MEX --> 8% 3) I/B origin = MEX, I/B destination = IAH -->3% (use US POO to calculate commission )

Flight Application - Commission is applicable on Participating Carriers - At least one qualifying Latin segment must be marketed and operated by Participating Carriers - Tickets must be validated on a Participating carrier - Validating carrier must be one of the operating or marketing carriers on the ticket - Valid on code-share flights operated by Participating Carriers - Valid for one-way, round-trip, circle-trip and open-jaw journeys - Valid on published fares only (see Eligibility Exceptions) - Qualifying Latin segments must be to/from US or Canada to be eligible for incentive - International published through fare booked in or the first letter of the fare basis code is an applicable class
effective March 11, 2026. Updates: •Flight Application rule now includes: WITHIN CANADA/USA - AIR CANADA (AC) - Standard commission may be taken on flights when all the following parameters are met: o Origin/Destination that is served by UA or AC in Canada o Marketed and operated by any of the following: Air Canada (AC) or United (UA) o UA codeshare flights operated by AC and AC codeshare flights operated by UA o Connection is to a Participating Carrier and vice versa o International published through fare begins with one of the classes specified above · For added clarity, wording was added to the Eligibility Exceptions rule related to Child fares: o Commission may be claimed on child fares when no discount is applied. o Infant fares are NOT eligible for TOT commission.
For non-NDC tickets, the following applies: BEYOND UNITED DESTINATIONS IN LATIN AMERICA Full commission when traveling CA/US to/from all UA destinations in Latin America and connecting on OA to points beyond. International published through fares or sector fares are commissionable. See details below. Commission can be taken on UA/OA as code-share or interline flights when the following parameters are met: - UA is the operating carrier from Canada/USA to a UA gateway in Latin America, and vice versa; OA operating can be used to/from connecting point (connection point must occur at any UA destination in Latin America). - The origin/destination operated OA is not serviced by UA. - OA Sector fares connecting within 24 hours. - The published fare begins with one of the classes specified in this program. - Travel remains in Latin America to areas as defined in Latin Countries section of this program .
Eligibility : Applies to published international through fares (not valid on trip within a trip). Applies to stopover charges and differential when applicable - Applies to international through fares when combined with sector fares (point-to-point) and the following rules are met: - Must be operated by UA and Regional carriers - Connecting time must be within 24 hours of International portion of the journey - Valid when booked in or the first letter of the fare basis code is an applicable class - US/Canada to Caribbean, Mexico and Central/South America sector fare MUST qualify for commission
If sector fares do not meet the parameters above, they may be included on the ticket at 0 commission. Time of Ticketing (TOT) may NOT be applied on any segment with net fares, corporate discounts, negotiatedgroup rates, air pass programs, United PassPlus negotiated fares/discounts, senior citizen, emigrant, journalist, military, missionary, student, discount coupons, travel certificates, government fares, crew rotation fares, two-for-one offers and the like or discount programs of any type including fares that price with"/ticket designator" (such as /UAF, /8N02).
Eligibility Exceptions Applicable commission may be claimed on fares using these Ticket Designators : /FLX3/FLEX/PFLX/FL01/DXWW /UPxx (i.e. /UPDI /UPDZ, /UPDP) /AMxx, /AExx, /EMxx, /KYxx, /QYxx, /WEBx, /TMCx, /GMNL (or any variation using these type of Ticket Designators.(i.e. AM09, EM10, KY06, QYFF, WEB3, TMCX)) /QYxx (i.e. QYFF or any type of QYxx) /8Dxx (i.e. 8D02, 8D05 or any type of 8Dxx) and Blueprint Discover, Experience, or Save If booked in or the first letter of the fare basis code is an applicable class and rules below are met: RULES - Fare must auto price (debit memos will be issued for manually priced tickets) - The valid tour code must appear on the applicable segments - Include the valid ITOT tour code in the tour code box or endorsement box - 8Dxx, QYxx, and UPxx fares must be validated on UA (016)
Combinations When combining qualifying incentive rates for the outbound (O/B) and return segments (I/B), applicable commission on each segment will apply with respect to the point of origin (POO) of the trip. Example 1: EWR-GIG (C) 8% commission// GIG-EWR (Z)6% commission (travel originates in EWR) Example 2: GIG-DEN (C)2% commission // DEN-GIG (S) 0 commission (travel originates in GIG) - IPOO is2% for eligible classes - When utilizing qualifying sector fares in a trip, the applicable commission on each segment will apply. - THE US, CA TO LATIN SECTOR FARE MUST QUALIFY FOR COMMISSION. Example 3: MKE-IAH (Z)6% commission // (connection within 24 hours) IAH-BOG (C) 8% commission (true O&D MKE-BOG) Example 4: LAX-IAH (T) 0 commission // (connection within 24 hours) IAH-GIG (C) 8% (true O&D LAX-GIG) Example 5: ABQ-IAH-SCL fare break at different points 5a. ABQ-IAH-SCL (B) (stopover over 24 hours in IAH through fare)6% commission 5b. Conditions This Time of Ticketing (TOT) commission program, for plating carrier UA 016, can be applied to both Edifact and NDC-enabled channels. However, the following condition applies to tickets booked via NDC: - When combining classes/rates, the most restrictive TOT commission will apply to the entire ticket . - Class will be determined by the first letter of the FBC.
Ticketing Procedures Plating carriers: UA (016) REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES Ticketing agency is responsible to recalculate commission when tickets are exchanged or refunded . Failure to recalculate commission will result in debit memos to the ticketing agency location. Applicable code must be placed in their appropriate locations. IATA ticketing rules apply. Failure to enter the applicable tour code, ticket designator, or incorrect ticketing will result in the issuance of debit memos to the ticketing agency location. Place the tour code or ticket designator in one of the following positions: - Ticket Designator - Tour Code box - Endorsement Box
